About us
Værftet began with a wish to create the festival we felt was missing. A place to get friends together, hear great music, eat well and experience something you might never have bought a separate ticket for.
The idea has taken shape over several years of planning. Music is at its heart, with comedy, talks, food and art each taking their place in the programme. Fredriksvern verft in Stavern provides the setting, with its historic buildings, grassy ramparts and the sea close by.
Behind the festival is Værftet or Nowhere, bringing together experienced people from different backgrounds. Our skills and experience complement one another, from the first ideas through to planning and delivery.
The first Værftet takes place on 16–17 July 2027. The ambition is to establish a new summer tradition and bring more events to the town throughout the year. Over time, Værftet or Nowhere aims to give locals and visitors more to look forward to in Stavern.
